It’s not possible to describe how Joshua Tree made me feel. Maybe it was the timing when I drove in. Just about sunset. Maybe it was the air. Maybe it was…I’m not sure. This is a special special place.

I scrambled around for about 30 minutes and this was one of the shots. The light was that perfect light you get sometimes. And everywhere I looked there was something I wanted to shoot. Honestly, this photo is predictable I guess but when you are out there it’s something I want to remember forever. These sentinels staying quietly.

What I tell everyone is “take a tent or sleeping bag and go alone…just sleep out there.”
